Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about bidding and buying with Public Auctions of Texas.
How do I register to bid on an item?
To participate in our auctions, you must create an account and provide a valid government-issued ID and a verifiable payment method. Once registered, you can place bids on any active listing.
What are the accepted payment methods?
We accept all major credit cards, wire transfers, and certified checks. Please note that full payment is typically required within 48 hours of the auction closing.
Can I inspect the items before the auction ends?
Yes, we host scheduled preview days at our Texas facility for most auctions. Please check the specific auction listing for dates, times, and location details.
How does the shipping or pickup process work?
Winning bidders are responsible for the removal of items. You may pick up your items in person during designated hours or arrange for a third-party freight carrier. We do not offer in-house shipping for large machinery or vehicles.
What is a 'Buyer's Premium'?
A buyer's premium is an additional service fee calculated as a percentage of the final hammer price. This fee is added to the winning bid to determine the total purchase price.
Are there warranties on the items sold?
All items are sold 'as-is, where-is' with no warranties or guarantees expressed or implied. We encourage all bidders to attend preview days to assess the condition of items personally.
